Elise Urrutia has provided valuation services for over 15 years to both individuals and corporate entities in a wide range of industries. As a director in Andersen's Valuation practice, Elise has worked on a variety of engagements, including financial reporting; mergers and acquisitions support; tax planning and reporting; start-up common stock analysis; and strategic planning. Elise has focused on the valuation of privately-held businesses, intellectual property, intangible assets, convertible and promissory notes, minority and controlling interests, and real-estate holding entities.
Services provided on recent engagements include:
- Purchase price allocations and impairment analyses related to FASB Accounting Standards Codification ("ASC") 805, ASC 350, and ASC 360 (formerly referred to as Statement of Financial Accounting Standards, "SFAS") 141R, 142, and 144, including preparation of responses related to comments from Big Four and mid-tier accounting firms
- Common stock valuations for tax and financial reporting to comply with Section 409A of the Internal Revenue Code and ASC 718 (SFAS 123r) regulations
- Valuation consulting related to tax planning and compliance, including appraisals performed for estate and gift tax reporting, domestic and international tax planning (including reorganizations, restructuring and ownership/control changes), and charitable contributions
- Valuations of carried and capital interests related to certain private equity, venture capital, and hedge funds
- Review of valuation analyses performed by other Big Four, mid-tier, and boutique appraisal firms for dispute and litigation purposes
- Financial analysis and consulting to assist with business planning, acquisitions, and litigation support
