Fawad Shah

Fawad Shah is a director in the Private Client Services practice. Fawad has provided tax compliance and tax advisory services to individuals, trusts, and pass-through entity clients for over 14 years. He has experience assisting a varied array of clients with their tax and wealth transfer needs. He has worked with founders of businesses, family offices, and owners and operators of private equity and hedge funds.

Before joining Andersen, Fawad was a Manager with KPMG, specializing in private client services and financial services in New York City. Prior to that, Fawad was a Supervisor at Marks Paneth (merged with CBIZ), specializing in individual and corporate tax compliance.

Services provided on recent engagements include:

• Assisting in setting up a new family office structure
• Planning associated with the utilization and sale of stock associated with ISOs, NSOs, and Qualified Small Business Stock
• Planning associated with the utilization of aircraft for use by various types of clients
• Utilization of pass-through entities for benefits associated with the pass-through entity tax credit
• Assistance with residency planning, including for domestic and international clients
• Working with federal and state revenue agents to address any requests associated with examinations
