Matt Ichikawa is a director in Andersen’s Valuation practice. He provides valuation services for closely held businesses, business interests, intangible assets, intellectual property, debt instruments, and derivatives, including stock options and option-embedded securities. He supports a wide range of purposes such as mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, litigation support, strategic planning, and tax planning and compliance.

Matt has deep expertise in common stock valuations for tax and financial reporting under IRC Section 409A and FASB ASC Topic 718. He applies his knowledge to purchase price allocations, impairment analyses, and complex valuation consulting related to estate and gift tax reporting, domestic and international tax planning, reorganizations, restructurings, ownership changes, and charitable contributions. His work also includes financial analysis for business planning and acquisitions, as well as valuations for dispute and litigation matters.
