Brian Hagerty is a director in the Alternative Investment Funds practice in San Francisco and has over 17 years of experience in tax practice. Brian’s practice focuses on tax compliance and consulting for partnerships, private equity and VC funds, loan origination funds, Funds of Funds, management companies, FLPs, and similar investment partnerships. Brian’s focus includes analysis and disclosure requirements for large-scale investment funds with cross-border transactions, PFICs/CFCs, and foreign investors.
Before joining Andersen, Brian worked for the University of Michigan’s Department of Economics, where he served as a Research Technician on one of the largest socio-economic panel studies on income dynamics, administered by the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research.
