Chris Gauss

Chris Gauss is a director in the Commercial practice in Andersen's Philadelphia office. He has over nine years of experience advising clients, including multinational companies, owner-operated companies, and businesses backed by private equity and venture capital. He has served companies in various industries, including manufacturing, services, fulfillment, and investment management.

Chris specializes in accounting for income taxes, including the preparation and/or review of income tax provisions and related financial statement disclosures under ASC 740 for both publicly traded and private companies. He has also managed federal and multistate corporate tax compliance engagements, including international compliance for multinational corporations.

Chris’ background also includes tax consulting related to cross-border transactions, various acquisitions and divestitures, debt refinancing, transaction cost studies, and tax planning relating to accounting methods, including the mitigation of interest expense limitations.

Before joining Andersen, Chris was a senior accountant at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP.
