Amy Frees

Amy Frees is a director in the State and Local Tax practice. Amy has over 17 years of experience providing property tax consulting and compliance services to a variety of industry sectors and companies that are locally and/or centrally assessed. This experience includes:

• Management of mutinational compliance
• Assessment and tax bills review and payment
• Forecasting and accruals
• Business personal property tax audits
• Reviewing and filing valuation positions for both real and business personal property in the appeals process

In addition, Amy participated in due diligence reviews for potential mergers and acquisition, and advised on the impact of future property tax as it relates to the reassessment of property and loss of any abatements or change of use. Amy is passionate about renewable energy and advises on the valuation, taxability, and availability of credits and incentives across traditional and emerging resources.

Amy's industry focus has included working with wind farm developers, municipal utility districts, and midstream operators where she assessed the market and economic issues impacting value and process for estimating property tax in capital projects budgets/pro-forma's.

Prior to joining Andersen, Amy led the West Region Property Tax practice at Deloitte and was the key professional in the rollout of Deloitte's Property Tax practice and establishment of a Center of Excellence in India.
