Gareth Davis is a director in Andersen's Commercial practice. He has over 15 years of experience in U.S. and international corporate taxation. He has advised clients ranging from start-up businesses and their owners to public companies with multinational tax affairs. Within Andersen's Commercial practice, his focus includes federal and state tax compliance, ASC 740 income tax provisions, domestic and international tax structuring, and cross-border direct and indirect taxation.

Before joining Andersen's San Francisco office in 2018, Gareth qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the UK and worked for 12 years as a tax advisor, guiding North American-headquartered businesses through their global expansion. He continues to provide expertise in international tax issues such as Global Intangible Low Taxed Income (GILTI), Foreign Derived Intangible Income (FDII), foreign tax credit planning, cross-border corporate M&A activity, and overseas indirect tax regimes (particularly VAT).

In addition to his international tax experience, Gareth works closely with his clients with respect to their U.S. federal, state, and local income tax compliance, including the preparation and coordination of ASC 740 income tax provisions and U.S. income tax return filings.

Throughout his career, Gareth has spent significant time working with biopharmaceutical and alternative energy clients, as well as clients in software, e-commerce, manufacturing, and other high-tech industries.
